Silver service for your investment

Leading independent research company, Morningstar, has recently completed a review of all of ANZ Investments’ multi-asset-class (diversified) strategies.

Morningstar SilverWe’re delighted to let you know that our multi-asset-class funds have retained their ‘Silver’ Morningstar Analyst Rating™. This is currently Morningstar’s highest rating for multi-asset-class funds in New Zealand.

Morningstar’s research covers all of our multi-asset-class funds (Conservative through to Growth) including those within:

  • ANZ Investment Funds
  • OneAnswer Multi-Asset-Class Funds
  • OneAnswer Single-Asset-Class Funds (Balanced Fund only)
  • ANZ KiwiSaver Scheme
  • ANZ Default KiwiSaver Scheme
  • OneAnswer KiwiSaver Scheme

Why is the Silver rating from Morningstar important?

We believe it’s really important to understand your provider’s ability to generate investment returns. After all, this is a key factor in determining how much money you have in your investment account when you need it.

Some providers will generate returns that are greater than the market’s return, while some will underperform the market. At ANZ Investments we believe our active management approach can, over the long term, deliver our investors with above average long-term returns.

Of course, it’s easy for us to say this. But why should you believe it?

Morningstar’s Global Fund Report is an independent review of ANZ Investments’ multi-asset-class investing capability. It’s a summary of its forward-looking analysis of our funds.

The Morningstar Analyst Rating™ is based on the analyst’s conviction in the fund’s ability to outperform its peer group over the long term. The report looks at key aspects of a provider’s investment capability including things like its investment approach, the people making the investment decisions, its ownership structure, and importantly, past performance and fees.

What did Morningstar have to say?

We’re pretty excited about this report as it provides an expert independent view on our multi-asset-class investing capabilities.

The Morningstar Global Fund Report dated 16th March 2018 made the following comments:

“ANZ Investments continues to lead the way in multi-asset investing. There’s a continuity of people and process no one else in New Zealand can match”

“A quality investments team leading a proven investment process gives confidence.”

“ANZ’s multi-asset strategies…have impressive long-term returns”

“It's pleasing to see fees come down as assets have grown. All-up, we continue to have a high degree of conviction in this approach.”
